Equine

Love &

Brides & Their Horses! There is a whole world of equestrian brides out there and Oregon is home to many of them! Our model, Michaela, was a rodeo princess at 5 years old for the Umpqua Valley Round Up and has since won numerous divisions in jackpot barrel races. All of the photos were taken on her family's
ranch in Melrose, Oregon. Rev (the horse), is her family's handsome gelding and he was more than willing to get as close as possible to any floral arrangement on set. Each look had its own unique color palette. We wanted to represent three different types of equestrian brides because we know that there is such a varying style when it comes to brides who own horses.

The first look represents the edgy side of the equestrian bridal world. With a fringed leather jacket and slinky white gown, Michaela's tattoos really sang!

Edgy, Western, Refined

Royal, Fairytale

The next look was inspired by the royal ranch life. Oregon is home to so many luxurious horse ranches and many weddings take place on such locations. The families that own these estates take pride in their land and often pass down their properties for generations, creating a family legacy locations fit for a royal wedding!

Sage and beige tones brought to life a coastal wet-look fit for any beach-loving bride. With a spin on the expected, a white dress was swapped for black and water was poured over the horse and the dark haired model.

Coastal Wet-Look Bridal

Every person involved in this shoot has a love of horses. It was an invigorating collaborative experience among members of our local horse community. From competitors, to mom’s of upcoming cowgirls and myself- who accidentally married into the ranch life (and fell in love with it)! This group bonded over our shared
love of horses. Becoming an owner of one of these four-legged, graceful, and intelligent creatures is like stepping into a marriage. And what better place to love a horse than in breath-taking Oregon.
